One of the most exciting
genealogical "finds" of the still young Twenty-first Century is a
1672 French Bible owned in 1775 by Randolph and Harrison County
pioneer Joseph Louis Cheuvront!! This Bible contains the MUSTER ROLLS of the militia serving in
John Skidmore's Company at Fort
Henckel (Hinkle) in
1775.
Pre-publication orders are now
being taken for our 2nd veterans book,
CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA VETERANS. This new book contains more than 500 bios
and photographs submitted by families and veterans. This book is the first of
several planned volumes. You may submit your story and pictures for the next
volume. Visit the Central West Virginia Veterans Project
to learn more.
