Glass Plates from the Ellis Collection
The Hacker's Creek Pioneer Descendants and Lewis County High School history teacher, David Bush, have worked together to preserve many of the images taken by local photographer Archie Ellis from the 1920s through the early part of the 1960s. The images on this particular page, identified in HCPD Records as Archie Ellis Negatives A3, were copied from glass plates which were stored in the Ellis garage in Kitsonville with a grant funded for HCPD by the Joan and Bill Peters Charitable Fund. We have several hundred more images which will be added to this site over a period of time.
