I am looking for any information on the Baber family who lived in Nicholas Co., Bays, up Old Turnpike Rd. His name was James K. Baber and his wife Martha. James served in the Civil War on the Confederate side. Both James and Martha died in 1910. They raised an adopted son, George Edward Cutlip, who was my great-grandfather. Looking for any information about the Babers or George E. Cutlip; particularly the latter's parentage. My email address is rose_k-N+S-sbcglobal.net. Thanks.

Hi, I am the direct descendant of many of the pioneers in Webster County, including William Earl "English Bill" Dodrill, Benjamin Hamrick, and Isaac Gregory. My great grandfather was Bennett Dodrill from Point Mountain near Webster Springs. My grandfather was Rufus Dodrill who was class president of Webster Springs High School 1917. The yearbook is online at the Wester Spring Historical Society website on rootsweb.com For many years my grandfather helped organize the Point Mountain reunion. Greetings to all of my unknown relatives on the web!

Thanks for creating and maintaining this website. Today, I rode my motorcycle through your valley (Rt. 20) from the 4H camp in Cowen to my home in Morgantown. Having noticed the historical markers and the scenic byway & backway markers, I wanted to learn more. Thanks for the education.

I don't believe they returned to WVA and are buried somewhere in MO. Please contact me if you have ANY info on this couple, my great great grandparents. THANKS!!
